This was the pilot film for the short-lived TV series of the same name. Karl Malden played Pete 'Skag' Skagska, a veteran steel mill foreman whose world is torn apart when he suffers a stroke leaving him temporarily paralyzed and is forced to stay at home and deal with his own family problems.
Rudy Bond played Hawkins, the Shop Steward.
